Postpartum Support

Families deserve to be loved on, held, and fully supported as they navigate the exciting and challenging change that a new baby inevitably brings. Oftentimes, there is such an intense focus on birth, that the postpartum period gets left unplanned, causing parents to feel unsupported, isolated and alone. My role is to bring ease into this transition through activating community networks, inspiring confidence in parents’ ability to care for their babies and offering a non-judgemental listening ear to honor joys and challenges.

Depending on the family and circumstances postpartum care might look different, and can include:

  • Nourishing postpartum meal preparation, meal train organization and community support activation

  • Support in postpartum healing

  • Breastfeeding/chestfeeding and bottle infant feeding support

  • Education surrounding different infant cues, physiologic infant sleep, soothing techniques

  • Baby or sibling care so that parents can shower, rest or have a moment to themselves

  • Help with organization, errand running and appointments

  • Resource and referral list
